Florida Pain Relief Centers welcomes Dr. Anjan K. Ghosh to their team of pain management clinicians. Dr. Ghosh is transitioning from his most recent role as sole Physician-In-Charge at the Charlotte Pain Management Center, a multi-disciplinary pain clinic located on Florida's southwest coast where, in addition to delivering care and treatment to patients with a diverse range of chronic and neuropathic conditions, Dr. Ghosh is also responsible for the practice's day-to-day functions.
Dr. Ghosh came to the U.S. from India at the age of seven, growing up in New York City. He completed his undergraduate college education at Columbia University, subsequently earning a Masters in Microbiology from the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences (GSAS) at Columbia University, and culminating his medical school education at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York.
After completing his Internal Medicine Internship, Dr. Ghosh chose Anesthesiology Residency-training, leaving New York for Southern California. Early in his anesthesiology training, Dr. Ghosh discovered his life's passion: to provide definitive pain relief to patients enduring various forms of sympathetically-mediated or autonomic pain, often associated with blunt-force or projectile injuries to their limbs and trunks.
Immediately following his formal anesthesia-training, Dr. Ghosh was appointed as the Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at his teaching hospital, where he served five postgraduate years. He then pursued formal training in the subspecialty of Pain Medicine by means of an ACGME-accredited Pain Medicine/Anesthesiology Fellowship, obtained from The Department of Anesthesiology at The Ohio State University Medical Center.
Dr. Ghosh moved to Florida in late 1999 to practice Pain Medicine, making the Sunshine State his permanent home. He is board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine (certification conferred by the ABA, American Board of Pain Medicine, and the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians). Dr. Ghosh's expertise in pain management runs the spectrum from pharmacological, non-interventional therapeutic regimens to interventional precision-guided injection procedures, targeting both spinal and peripheral pain generators.
